Hailing from Vermont, our brothers and co-host’s Spanky Payne and Blue Ray represent the western New England arm of DRN. The Spanky Payne Radio Show (SPRS) delivers a unique range of music that ties together the diverse tastes of those that gloriously rode the trail blazing meteors of metal, punk and thrash over the last 30 years. Perhaps that’s an over simplified explanation of what your ears are about to experience…but we want to skip all the wordy, descriptive bullshit and get on with the show. Originally broadcast live on a local radio station in Bellows Falls, Vermont, The Spanky Payne Radio Show has seen some rough times and critical scrutiny from the corporate suits at WOOL FM. In it’s short traditional radio run from November 2009 to May 2010, the show was pulled from regular rotation due to unparalleled interests between Spanky and WOOL’s board of directors.Nomadic and seeking refuge for close to two years, The Spanky Payne Radio Show has found a new home with Dirty Rock Nation in a slightly new format.Old devotees will seamlessly pick up right where the show left off, and new disciples are sure to follow Spanky Payne and Blue Ray High-Def for each new show in 2012…and beyond.
