The Throggship Convoy has become a phrase referring to different things, but first and foremost it is a small group of bands that have formed an alliance in conquering the same mission - To hit the road and play every dirty rock town possible!

The name derived from many late night parties in which members of the bands Brand New Sin, Truman Highway and Born Again Rebels had been up so long that their road weary grammar dwindled down to one word – Throgg (referring to the Throgs Neck Bridge in New York City). Since many of the bands in this alliance frequently travel Interstate 95 which is linked with Throgs Neck Bridge, it only seemed natural that the name Throgg had to be used in the name of this “convoy”.

Out of this convoy manifested the Throggship Convoy Podcast Show (Throgg-Cast for short). Chuck “Gulch” Kahl, bass player of Brand New Sin hosts the show and will thoroughly entertain and inform listeners of today’s most talented and sometimes, unsigned bands the rock and roll industry has ever / never heard. Focusing mostly on the bands from the Throgg alliance as well as national recording artist that have inspired them over the years, Throggship Convoy Podcast is a unique mix of rock and roll al la Lynyrd Skynyrd and Zakk Wylde, with the unstoppable raw power of Motorhead.

Sometimes you’ll find yourself banging your head, and sometimes you’ll feel the urge to sit on your porch with your harmonica and a bottle of whiskey. The Throgg-Cast is a frequent show on Dirty Rock Nation and we hope you are as excited about the show as we are. The more people that listen, the more chances this Convoy can tour through your town.
